Presto PowerPop Microwave Multi-Popper Product Review

Posted by supremehardware on July 3, 2009

The PowerPop microware popcorn multi-popper is made by Presto.  When you open up the box, you fill find 4 different pieces. They are the see-through Popping and Serving Bowl, the see-through cover, removable PowerBase concentrator, and the Replaceable PowerCup concentrator.  The Presto PowerPop is designed to make 1/3 cup of popcorn which is about 3 quarts (the capacity of the bowl). The nice thing about the Powerpop is you can use a variety of popcorn. The PowerPop can pop yellow, white, baby rice, and other premium brands.  The PowerPop is easy to use too, you just connect the bowl to the base, put a PowerCup concentrator into the bottom of the bowl, if you like butter on your popcorn you add the butter flavored oil right on top of the PowerCup, add the popcorn, put on the lid and into the microwave. One of the drawbacks of the PowerPop is the lid doesn’t screw or snap on, so if you added more than 1/3 cup of popcorn be ready to clean out your microwave! The great design literally pops nearly every kernel of corn.  Another drawback of the PowerPop is you have to buy replacement PowerCup concentrators.  However, they last up to 24 uses and they retail for $2.99 so it isn’t a bad deal. All in all this is a great product and a great substitute to an air popper, it pops faster and more kernels.

Directions:

  • Attach bowl to base.
  • Insert PowerCup into bowl.
  • Add butter flavored oil & popcorn.
  • Put cover on.
  • Put into microwave
